2013 litter Plans

We have mainly retired from breeding.  I still show and judge occasionally.  My husband shows in agility.

Plans are for our very special breeding in 2012   The mom will be Gigi.  See her here. Dad  will be announced later.

If you need breed information, need help locating puppies, feel free to write or call.

In our ever shrinking world, Belgian communities are no longer isolated.  In the spirit of co-operation and enlightenment, today's breeders have more and more genetic information and testing available for the health of our breed.    More and more breeders are now publishing health statistics on their litters.  This not only provides transparency for the buyer but it gives other breeders information on making more evidence-based decisions in choosing future sires and dams.

In the past, you just searched for the best dogs to compliment yours and you hoped for the best.  Owners of companion dogs were not asked to provide us with health information.  Consequently, we had no way of knowng what, if any,  developmental or health problems popped up.  Today, breeders are asking all owners to get bones x-rayed, eyes checked, etc.  While for the most part it's still pretty much the same, I'm excited for future generations of breeders who will have the power to make intelligent choices based in sicence, not dreams. I almost wish I could start all over again.

While our "line of dogs is mostly gone, records of the past 34+ years lost, or destroyed, or non-existant, we provide you with health information on each individual's page.  If you have any questions regarding our dogs, just ask us, we don't bite.
